BC Seafood Expo
The BC Seafood Expo attracted suppliers, qualified domestic and international buyers, distributors, producers, industry leaders and government representatives to network, meet and grow the seafood industry. Read more about the BC Seafood Expo here.
Members of the BCSGA as well as some Expo attendees participated in a Tagging & Record Keeping workshop led by DFO. The event was well attended and we hope to provide an update on action items at our AGM.
International Buyer’s Reception
The BC Seafood Expo Tradeshow floor was converted into a bountiful seafood-tasting journey, where guests enjoyed networking and roaming to numerous stations to meet incredible regional chefs as they presented an array of BC seafood dishes.
BCSGA members volunteer their time and product for this amazing oyster bar that enables guests to sample raw oysters from around the province. The second annual event was, once again, a huge success!
BCSGA Gala Dinner
The BCSGA Gala Dinner is the signature event of the BC Seafood Festival that features top domestic chefs who dazzle guests with an array of seafood tasting stations, set amongst the stunning grounds of the Filberg Lodge. Read more about the Gala Dinner here.
This year’s Signature Weekend featured BC seafood tastings, Chef Demos,action-packed competitions, musical performances and an interactive kids zone that included a live touch tank, where attendees got to touch and handle a variety of spiny, slippery and squishy marine creatures.
